Teaching Cricket

                                                           
I did cricket for last 1 year. this is my second time in cricket but this time i'm doing cricket as a creativity by teaching students how to play different techniques in cricket. I am group leader of cricket and i have 2 more group leaders Akila and Shwetank. They both know how to play cricket and they doing very well. so, Our main aim is to teach them different bowling styles and batting styles. For doing this we have to start with communicating with them so we are thinking to do some activity so it will easy for us to know them and it easy to them to us very well. So, basically we have to start with one techniques where all the kids doing same at the time so we decided that we divided the groups into 3 and we teach them same techniques at same time. For first day we all did was playing a cricket match with them and during the match me and my other group leader we watching them carefully who need more practice and how they playing match, what type of skills they can understand and what type of teaching skills we have to use. We are doing well in cricket and we started teaching them some techniques like catching the ball and how to hold the bat properly. And in next lessons we are going to teach some new useful techniques which helps them to be a good cricketer.

Started Badminton

                                                             
I started doing badminton as my action. Last few session i really enjoying playing badminton and i learnt lots of new things about that.Playing badminton is quite challenging for me because from last few months i haven't play badminton so i decided to take this challenge and i started playing once again. badminton is enjoyable game for me it has lots of action in it. In badminton I am really good in serving and smashing. in last class i played with Akila ( my classmate) and i beat him by 4/10 which is really good for me as i started playing badminton again. Badminton is a game where we have to do lots of communication actually in every game we have to do communication. But in badminton when we are playing with two players so we have to communicating and collaborating with each other so we can play well in match. After all this practice of badminton i am thinking to sign up for SAISA badminton where i can show my ability to do. SIASA is very challenging thing to do we meet different players from different school we see different skill in them and then we planning a lot to win match.

Service is a very big part in our CAS. In service we have different types of global services which conducted in world we are trying to help them and support them. I was in RCCI service. RCCI stands for “Rehabilitation Centre for the communication impaired”. In this service there are kids who are physically challenged. But I changed my service and I am in SOS which stands for “Save Our Souls”. In this service we are trying to help kids those who are orphan they don’t have their parents. We spent time with them and talk with them but we trying to not talk about their families. In this service communication is really hard thing because those kids don’t know English so we can’t understand their language but we are trying to learn some words.  When we started this service this year these kids are new so they are trying to adjusting with us we knowing each other. We have our group partner and we have two kids in a group were we played with them. It our responsibility to care them because they are small kids and it’s our responsibilities no one be rude to them and all. We have to open minded in this service we have to share different thoughts what we think how we help those kids by doing different things. We started this service with buddy class were group member engaged with one kid and teach them something after that we have a session on swimming pool we are thinking that in months we doing differnet activites this is our last swimming session after this we are doing other activity. This service engage with global issues also.

Cricket

We are doing cricket as our after school action. This is an after school activity where lots of kids join us and play cricket with us. I am the group leader of cricket action. I am going to reflect my action. In cricket we started lots of different things with them so that they can learn very fast. First thing I communicated with each of then when I’m teaching something so that I can know easily how they learning from me. After that we started teaching them useful skills which helps them to their skills. In skills lots of things counts like batting bowling is common but how to throw the ball the hand movement when you throw the ball when you batting your hand movement should be good so you can hit properly. My aim is to make them risk takers because when they saw a ball they scared of that so right now me and my partner working on it.  I have to make them good cricketer and they can play anywhere they want.  We started our activity by practicing some of these skills which helps us and them to refresh all of them and they feel comfortable. As a group leader I have to be care for each and every child because in our activity we have lots of low grades kids also so we have to see them and care them if they want any help I have to be there.

As you can see in this picture after the all the practice the skill we arrange the matches between two teams. Which helps a lot for us to see them how are they using their knowledge about cricket skills.  They enjoys playing matches a lot we did this match in every class. When they playing match as a group leader I have to think about them what new skills I can tell them in next class and where they doing wrong I have to see each and every child.

You can see in this picture Ashab is batting. He is also in our activity. When we started this activity in 11 grade, he needs some batting skills so, he is with us for 2 year this is his 2^nd year and he plays a lot better than last year.

Goals for grade 12th !!!!

It's the time to being new year grade 12th. I decided some new goals for better learning and knowledge. This our last year and we have to do lots of things this year. This year is challenging for me. This year we have lots of different activities like every year but this time we got the Music, play instruments create songs etc. This year is very important year for our future so this year I have to more concentrated on my studies so this year is challenging. There are my goals :-



  Action:- We are doing cricket in after school activity. so, this is my action. I'm going to do  same action this year. Me and shwetank we are the leaders of this cricket after school activity. I did this action last year too so, I'm going to do this year also. We are going to plan some new things to do in this activity. I took this activity because I am very comfortable in cricket and I can teach cricket to little kids properly.

Creativity :-  I am going to continuing my guitar class this year.  This year is challenging and I have lots of work loads so I will do little practice. This year my goal is to learn more music and play guitar frequently and properly. I will do some practice on set the fingers and play the chords properly.


Service:-  Last year I am with RCCI Group which was really helpful for me and this year I am thinking to do the same service but I am not sure. I will choose it later. But I will do my best in the which I am going to do.

CAS reflection

                                                CAS ( creativity , reflection & service) 

Creativity :- My creativity is playing a guitar. which is really good for me to learn something. I achieved all the goals that i set in my creativity in beginning of this year. I learn how all the chords  in guitar and i played some songs with the help of the different chords which was difficult for me in starting but now I'm pretty much good in that but sometimes i made a mistake in between some chord i have to learn little bit more perfect. I worked collaboratively with my teacher and my student in guitar class which is really helpful for me to understand better and i have perfectness but i have to practice little more to finish up.

Action : -  My action is Cricket in after school activities. i make lots of goals for that but I achieved most of them. I am the student leader of cricket after school activity. A good student leader have to work collaboratively with other student leader so we can give good knowledge to our students about cricket.In cricket we planned what we have to do today and then we work with that planning so with the planning we can give more skills to them to practice  we also think about some new challenges to give them like we divided then into 2 teams and then they play a match and they are pretty much excited about that and that is challenge for them to whose gonna win it. Next year I am trying to come up with new developed skills and other different ideas that's my new challenge.

Service :- My service is RCCI ( Rehabilitation Center For the Communication Impaired) in this service we are trying to communicate with kids that are come from this organization  we have to work collaboratively to control them. Collaboration is much more important in this. My goals for this service is to trying to communicate with these kids well and understand them what they are trying to say i understood them but not properly so i need to little bit work on that next year . We are involve in  global issue with this service. we take lots of new challenges in this sometime they take some new kids so we have to communicate with his/her too that the challenge for yourself. 

New techniques in Cricket. .

In our cricket activity we got more new kids to learn the cricket so our Activity I really good. And in mean time we started some new techniques with kids we are trying to teach them new skills about batting bowling and field. I saw the fielding is really bad of these kids so I’m trying to teach them how to stop the ball when batsman hits the shots. And we are starting teaching them how to through ball with different techniques like fast balling, spin balling etc. They are pretty good in learning all these skill that we are taught them in activity time. Day by day they are more freely with blowing and different skills. we arrange the match for them so we can see the the skills, how they are playing the match and see some skills how they using skills that we taught them.

 This is how we are teaching them we are teaching every step how to throw a ball to batsman. we are thinking that we teachng some more skills to them for getting perfect in balling and we started some new techiques in batting also. In the first picture you can see it lable all the points that we have to notice in batting so we are teaching these point to them so they  can do good and perfect batting. we started some new styles of batting. 

what I learn From this trip..!!

I learnt a lot from this trip. This trip was great trip to express you. I learnt how to work collaboratively with other people. The goals that I have set before this trip i got all the goals form this trip. In this trip we went lots of places and we did hiking and all. Our trip was mainly based on art in outside of our surroundings. We saw lots of different designs and there some places which are collapsed by flood so we can’t go there. But the main thing this trip was really helpful for me like it’s really full in how to make a painting in nature and how to draw or understand the different types of colors. For me I did really good job in some drawings and some sketching. But before the trip i scared about to paint in nature but after this trip I’m very free to draw I learnt some techniques to draw and color. There are ome pictures what we saw and i made a collage of all the momuments that I saw.

4th day Anuradhapura Art trip

we woke up at 6 am and then we went for our breakfast after that our trip started and 9 am and then we went to huge standing Buddha temple that temple was really cool. we went there and we did lots of drawings there and we made portrait of standing Buddha. After that we came from there and we did our lunch in bus and then we wen to hotel and we went to swimming pool for enjoying and the we came back to our hotel and we did reflection and we did small presentation about how we did there and we explain our best drawings to all the group. and then we went for dinner . But our last was so nice and i enjoy it so much.

So, finally we found our action. Our action is Cricket. It is really fun and good action. Me and Shwetank we are the group leader of Cricket. We are really enjoying it. We played cricket every Wednesday after school. we students in our Activity which is really goo but we want more. They are also Enjoying this activity so much. So, basically we are doing in this activity is we do practicing first and then me and other shwetank(group leader) we divided students and then we start different types of practicing with them like balling practice  fielding practice  catching practice and so like you can in these pictures how they are throwing ball . We did some warm up exercises in cricket like running and all so they can run easily and freely which is really important for body. Students those who joined this activity they are really good and they can play cricket but they need some practice and guidance to be a good cricketer . 

Third day of WWW in Anuradhapura...

On third day we started our tour at 9:00 am . Third was really good but some but it was little bit disappointing also because we can't see some places because of the flood.so, we went to saw some old statue s of Buddha and sketch the drawings. On third day we see small things not a really big thing but it was really cool things we saw. after that we went to Mahinale on Wednesday and we did lots of sketching there and we saw lots of beauty of nature there. we went to old caves and we did some hiking on that day which was really interesting and cool. i like that.We spent 3 to 4 hours there and after we went for lunch and then we came to our place and make some drawings and big pictures. we went one temple which is really cool it on the top of the hill and we can saw whole Anuradhapura from there that was really amazing. after that we came back our hotel and in hotel we did our reflection and all and we talk about and making plans for other day. 

Second day WWW .... :)

We woke up and we went for breakfast which was really good and then we went for our research and making new types of art and designs. On second day we went different temples of Buddha we went to really big Buddha temple which is the biggest Buddha temple in world by mungs. we did lots of drawings there with the help of different types of art work and designs. we saw lots of hard work and lots of different and really good designs there. we took all our art materials there and we make a big paintings Mr. Mactvish tells us about how to make a big paintings of Buddha or something else. we have a work shop there in the that place. And after the paintings we went to the temple and they have some rules and regulation like we have took our shoes and we can't wear caps and hats all. so, after that we went to temple and we saw a really big statue of Buddha which was really really good.

First day of week without walls

Our last WWW and first day of WWW was really good. we did lots of things. From the starting of this trip we will going to Anuradhapura by train which was really good adventure and exposure for me.After when we reach there we went to our hotel by bus. our hotel is really good its look like a guest house but it was nice. after that we went to the museum for paintings and making drawings. we did lots of sketching there and after that we went to caves and there we make different drawings and sketching which was really cool

 making nature drawings. after that we went 1 Buddha temple which was really nice temple and we make different sketching of the temple which was really hard for me but i made one.  first day of the trip was really nice day we gain lots of different ideas like how to make a sketch and how to draw different pattern and after all we went to our guest house. 

what is week without walls (www)?

week without wall (www) is the word we used to do outdoor activities. In www our school is organized different trips. where the student can go and learn some new challenges and new things about himself or judge himself. www is really based on CAS community ,action and service from these these you can understand you can understand what i means to say. They give different challenges and we have to that and from that challenges we have to judge our self. www trips are mostly based on education and enjoyment and this trips we do different things which are related with education. 

I.M finally decided about WWW :)

We are going to Anuradhapura in our week without walls. We have a meeting also about what we have to do in our trip and we decide when we have to come to school and all. Mr. Grant tells us about some restriction for temple. Like we have to wear clothes above the knee. And we do painting in our trip so we have to take our coloring books with if we have. Mr. Grant didn’t give us schedule for like in which day what we are supposed to do. We do cycling also in our trip. Our main goal are help each other our trip is more about team work , making a big painting with all team . In my trip my goals are helping each other work in team like collaborate with each other and adjust in all the weather and all the conditions.
